Xyramat
experimental music, radioshows

Xyramat is a DIY artist, an experimental musician, a sound artist, producer and performer.

She started out in the 80s of the last century, initially playing in bands:
Geri Graffiti's Family, Devantgarde, Senza Luna. The music was characterized by industrial and new wave in all its forms. Devantgarde released “I cry” and “God of War -  täglich küssen”. The covers were designed by the artist Udo Dettmann.

She has been working solo since the 90s, initially as “Maat”, but then as “Xyramat” after GEMA intervened. The name means nothing, just a game with letters.

Since then there have been various releases, always different ones. She performs. She traveled as far as San Francisco and Japan (Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo). She later retired and wrote expert reports on offenders in Germany. She holds a doctorate in psychology and is also a qualified criminologist. Two hearts beat in her mind: science and music. Difficult to reconcile, or not. She has also repeatedly worked with other artists, including Karsten Weber (Filmgruppe Chaos), Shahin Charmi (including “Kein Phönix steigt aus dieser Asche”), Stadfischflex (Rote Frauenarmee) and currently with Udo Dettmann “(”Dr. Erkenntnis ?").

In 1999, she moved to Hamburg and quickly ended up in a radio studio, at “Radio Gagarin” and thus at the “Freie Sender Kombinat (FSK)” in Hamburg. For a while she made radio programs together with Jetzmann and Asmus Tietchens, namely “Radio Gagarin”. She said goodbye again and has been doing her radio shows solo at FSK ever since. At first her radio show was called “The Female Pressure Radio Show”. She was an active member of the network of female and queer DJs called “Female Pressure” for several years. She had an affinity for techno back then. In between, she was one of the people who ran the Astra Stube in Hamburg and was also active at Waagenbau. After she had said goodbye to “Female Pressure”, she often got bored with techno, too many repetitions, too many similar sets. Her radio show was renamed and “Doctore Xyramat” was born, so to speak. Doctore Xyramat” is now available on FSK, the Free Radio Neumünster and Paranoise Radio, with 1 hour of music from women, queer people from the electronica and experimental universe. As she says “You are welcome to listen.”
Her music can be found on bandcamp, streaming portals (e.g. Deezer, Spotify), You tube and the various marketplaces, e.g. Discogs.
